Many dental events, including conferences and trade shows, in the field have been cancelled or postponed owing to the spread of the coronavirus worldwide. Therefore, 3Shape has launched an online event format. (Image: one photo/Shutterstock; 3Shape)
COPENHAGEN, Denmark: At the forefront of digital dentistry for over 20 years, 3Shape is now offering dental professionals a unique opportunity for education and networking in times of social distancing by hosting a global online symposium. The programme will feature 30 webinars presented by the leading experts in dentistry, and these will be broadcast live over 24 consecutive hours. The symposium, for which attendance is free of charge, will start on 19 June at 1 p.m. CEST.
“With current restrictions on travel and socialising, 3Shape has been ambitious in providing dental professionals new ways to learn and network from home,” said Lars Christian Lund, 3Shape senior vice president of business development and marketing. “We are extremely excited about the upcoming 3Shape 24h Global Symposium—our around-the-clock ‘learnathon’ may be the first of its kind for dentistry!”
Myriad of topics: From business management to clinical workflows
The 30 live webinars will cover a broad range of topics, including advice for dental professionals on effective practice management after SARS-CoV-2, digital workflows for every level and specialty, and the personal journey of a father and son team going digital together.
In addition to 16 webinars in English, 14 webinars will be held in nine local languages.
High-value knowledge and continuing education credits at zero cost
The virtual framework of the 3Shape 24h Global Symposium will allow dental professionals to gain a live event experience and global networking opportunities from the safety and comfort of their homes. Participation in the online event is completely free of charge. After quick and easy registration at www.3shapesymposium.com, participants can create a personalised programme by signing up for single webinars that reflect their personal learning objectives and individual interests.
After each webinar, participants will have the opportunity to answer topic-related questions to earn one continuing education credit. In total, 30 credits can be obtained through this webinar series.
More online opportunities with 3Shape Virtual Expos and 3Shape Online Learning Hub
“When professionals can’t come to a 3Shape booth, we bring the booth to the professionals,” said Lund, explaining the rationale behind 3Shape Virtual Expos, through which dental professionals will have the opportunity to experience virtual 3Shape trade shows, including panel discussions, technological talks, designated zones for TRIOS, and laboratories. The first virtual expo is already available in Spanish at go.3shape.com/virtualexpo2020-es, and events in more local languages are to come.
3Shape also offers live webinars, on-demand webinars, virtual classes and one-to-one training sessions at 3shape.com/learninghub.
