BENSHEIM, Germany: Recently, the completely renovated and significantly expanded Dentsply Sirona Academy opened its doors in Bensheim. The state-of-the-art training centre demonstrates the comprehensive solutions the market-leading manufacturer is currently offering. The extensive 2,000 m2 facility is able to accommodate up to 10,000 dentists and dental technicians, dealers and medical practice employees annually for its training programmes, as well as Dentsply Sirona staff members.
“As leaders in innovation, we are committed to providing pioneering training and education at the Dentsply Sirona Academy,” Michael Geil, managing director of the Bensheim site and Vice President of Treatment Centers at Dentsply Sirona, declared at the grand opening in Bensheim. “Our professional, responsive and agile programme is setting new standards.”
Dentsply Sirona’s core focus, aside from its products, is on all-encompassing solutions, enabling patient treatment from diagnosis through to final care. The products and treatment processes in the new facility are presented within a clinical environment, demonstrating how theory and practice are directly interlinked and how integrated workflows can be experienced across disciplines. A large training room with 20 units has been established that, through the use of digital interfaces, enables multimedia training support at the highest level. Moreover, the facility includes an auditorium separated from a neighbouring treatment room by a glass wall, thus affording the opportunity to carry out live treatments in the future.
Overall, the capacity for hands-on demonstrations and training at the academy has been significantly increased. The academy sees itself both as a training centre and a meeting place for partners and customers in order to deepen contacts and receive direct feedback, the company said.
In order to use Dentsply Sirona’s products to the greatest advantage, there is a great need for high-quality teaching and training. “With the redesign of the Dentsply Sirona Academy in Bensheim, we have oriented ourselves to the current and future needs of our customers and partners, because we believe that training and education will enable them to optimally develop their own technologies and solutions,” explained Michael Glemser, Director of the Dentsply Sirona Academy, to guests and media representatives at the opening event.
“It is important to us that users are able to directly, efficiently and successfully implement our products and processes into their daily routines. Continuous education and training make the difference for us as a company,” stated Dominique Legros, Senior Vice President of Technology Equipment and Healthcare at Dentsply Sirona. “At the Dentsply Sirona Academy, the required know-how is provided, enabling new perspectives for the benefit of patients while increasing the profitability of a practice or laboratory.”
