CHARLOTTE, N.C./CAMBRIDGE, Mass., US: This week, Dentsply Sirona announced that its executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), Jorge Gomez, has resigned from the company. Shortly afterwards, biotechnology giant Moderna reported that Gomez had assumed the position of CFO of the company, which is known globally for pioneering messenger RNA therapeutics and vaccines.

Gomez served as executive vice president and CFO at Dentsply Sirona from August 2019. In this role, he was responsible for leading Dentsply Sirona’s global finance organisation, including strategic finance and investor relations. In addition, he led the company’s Beyond sustainability and environmental, social and governance programme.

The company stated that it has initiated a search process to identify its next CFO.
