ALSIP, Ill., U.S.: In celebration of GC’s 100th anniversary, GC America will host a one-day virtual symposium on combating biofilm and oral disease on July 30. At this free educational event, three experts on the topic of biofilm will come together to share their experiences in dealing with the biofilm-related issues that many patients have.
Topics that this online seminar will highlight include the role biofilm plays in periodontal disease, why glass ionomers and glass hybrid restorations play a significant role in the fight against biofilm and the importance of biofilm management through patient education. Drs. Joshua Austin and Pamela Maragliano-Muniz as well as dental hygienist and international lecturer Susan Wingrove will present dental techniques that are suitable for patients of all ages. These techniques are based on evidence-based dentistry and the lecturers’ own areas of clinical expertise.
Participants will learn about combating biofilm in every situation and will leave with a greater understanding of the need for biofilm-focused care. They will be able to provide patients with education on the importance of dental care and biofilm elimination at home in order to ensure optimal overall health.
“This is a valuable and unique program that addresses the needs of all patient segments,” said Linda Bellisario, associate director of marketing and communications at GC America and a registered dental hygienist.
“Attendees will appreciate the wide range of knowledge demonstrated by this trio of experts,” she added.
More information about the seminar and registration can be found here.
