Needing no separate primer or silane, PANAVIA SA Cement Universal simplifies the bonding of any restoration to implant abutments—thanks to its proprietary technology. Independent research has confirmed that the use of this new dual-monomer technology does not sacrifice adhesion or durability for glass-based ceramics or zirconia. The technique shown in this case study is for titanium base implants; however, the basic technique used in the treatment of the abutment and the restoration may be used with any implant restoration combination.

    Fig. 7: If seating a lithium disilicate crown, etch the internal surfaces with a 5% hydrofluoric acid for 20 seconds and then rinse and dry the surfaces. If seating a zirconia crown, air abrade the internal surfaces at 96.5–399.9 kPa.
