VIENNA, Austria: Straumann will be confirming its leading position in implant and aesthetic dentistry at the 2018 EAO congress by delivering innovations that are acknowledged as industry benchmarks and disruptive technological advancements backed by long-term scientific evidence.
To respond to market needs for shorter treatment times and simplified workflows, Straumann has expanded its treatment portfolio over the past 15 years to deliver leading solutions that provide versatility, reliability and predictable outcomes for immediate implant placement and immediate loading. Straumann’s excellence in immediacy is attributed to the consolidation of advanced implant design like the Straumann BLT, combined with the best surface, SLActive, and the strongest material, Roxolid, to maximise primary and secondary stability, even in the most demanding clinical situations and bone types, according to the company.
In addition, Straumann’s corporate forum at the EAO will present the first results of its clinical development programme, which is underway with its innovative fully tapered implant, BLX. The company will also host workshops to give customers hands-on experience of the new implant. The speakers at these events will include Dr Karim Dada, Dr Helena Francisco, Dr Ophir Fromovich, Dr Leon Pariente, Dr Alessandro Perucchi, Dr Louwrens C. Swart and Dr Gabor Tepper.
With the Straumann PURE Ceramic Implant System, even very demanding patients can be treated without compromising on aesthetics, reliability and choice of material. They will benefit from the aesthetic advantages of a natural ceramic implant that is ivory-coloured like a natural tooth root and does not show through, even in cases of thin gingival biotypes. Furthermore, dental professionals and their patients can rely on the high-performance zirconia ceramic material, which is even stronger than gold standard Grade 4 titanium implants. The Straumann PURE Ceramic Implant System can be obtained as a monotype design in endosteal diameters of 4.1 mm and 3.3 mm and as a two-piece design in an endosteal diameter of 4.1 mm, although the latter is not available in all countries.
With the Straumann Mini Implants, it is now possible to provide edentulous patients presenting reduced horizontal bone availability with a less invasive—if guided bone regeneration can be avoided—immediate, removable fixation of their overdentures. Dental professionals and their patients can rely on a trusted brand, premium quality and long-term scientific evidence.
The company is inviting attendees of the EAO congress to visit the Straumann corporate forum and workshops or the Straumann booth (#D04). All those who cannot attend are welcome to join the corporate forum live via Facebook and YouTube.
