Abstract
The following aspects will be covered:
1- Communication between the dentist and the lab
2- Diagnostic and shade taking protocol
3- Treatment planning from the facial perspective. Smile patterns and the truth about the reference lines
4- Tips for efficient photography and videos
5- Tips for an efficient wax-up and mock-up
6- A demostration and a hands-on with the protocol on the computer step by step that the participants will be able to follow.
7- If a participant agree, a live demostration will be done.
All these topics will be exemplified with clinical cases fully documented from A to Z in HD resolution.

The course will first present the necessary theoretical backround about DSD with a short summary of it. Then tips and tricks about photo-video and how to analize the patients from the facial perspective are going to be given. Facial, smile and tooth references are going to be given.
The course will also provide the participants with written material explaining several techniques presented during the lectures.

Tutor: Dr. Eduardo Mahn, Chile
Dr. Mahn graduated from the University of Chile in 2004. He received the German DDS, one year later. The New York University College of Dentistry certified him as Implantologist in 2007.

In 2008, he published his doctorate thesis in 2008 titled Osseointegration of zirconia implants, an in vivo study” and got his doctorate degree in 2010 from the University of Duesseldorf, Germany. Between 2007 and 2009 he worked for Ivoclar Vivadent at the ICDE (International Center for Dental Education), Schaan, Liechtenstein and he is presently a guest lecturer at several universities. He is the author from a variety of articles and has been lecturing intensively about Esthetic Dentistry and Implantology in more than 50 countries.
