PARIS, France: The annual congress and exhibition of the French Dental Association (ADF) is a leading event in dentistry and continuing education in Europe. As in the previous years, this year’s venue is the Palais des Congrès de Paris at Porte Maillot, and the event will take place from 22 to 26 November. Approximately 25,000 visitors are expected to attend and immerse themselves in engaging scientific presentations and workshops led by renowned dental experts.

The extensive scientific programme will address all areas of expertise in the dental profession—in both private and public practice—and will include specialised topics. Increased focus will be placed on speaker–audience interaction, which is why this year’s event will feature shorter sessions that will be followed by debates. Finally, the event will include new sessions specifically designed to allow dental assistants to participate simultaneously with their practitioners.

In total, the ADF congress will offer 100 theoretical, practical and interactive sessions led by 400 speakers. The international programme will include sessions held by 35 presenters. Of these sessions, seven will be given in English on the weekend to facilitate attendance from abroad. Different disciplines will be represented. In periodontics, criteria for choosing a treatment for gingival recession will be discussed. In endodontics, topics discussed will include apexification versus revascularisation and root canal disinfection. Biomimetics will be a theme in restorative dentistry, and in implantology, the diagnosis and treatment of peri-implantitis and bone grafts versus guided bone regeneration will be discussed. In the area of research there will be conferences on micro-dentistry and tissue engineering.

Finally, at the exhibition, attendees will be brought together under one roof where they will discover the latest developments, test new products and meet suppliers and trade representatives.
