MONTREAL, Canada/ATLANTA, U.S.: Dental Wings and Carestream Dental have announced that the CS 3600 intraoral scanner has been certified by Dental Wings for use with its DWOS and DWOS Chairside design software, as well as coDiagnostiX implant planning software.
This means that scans obtained with the CS 3600 can now be imported into DWOS and DWOS Chairside, and/or coDiagnostiX. This provides CS 3600 and DWOS users, along with dental laboratories, with new options for their digital design workflow, including crown and bridge, implant and denture planning, as well as guided surgery planning, splint design and orthodontic archiving.
Michel Divet, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Dental Wings, said: “This latest certification for Dental Wings DWOS reflects our ongoing commitment to broaden accessibility to our range of open software solutions for chairside, lab and central milling, through partnerships with other key market players.”
According to the company, DWOS is one of the most flexible and powerful CAD/CAM software platforms available for the design of dental restorations. It offers an open and integrated ecosystem of technologies that work together to boost productivity and efficiency for dental professionals. It uses the latest innovative technology and special design tools to facilitate the in-office design of highly esthetic restorations, including inlays, onlays, full-contour crowns, veneers and implant abutments. CoDiagnostiX is a proven and simple solution for preoperative planning and drill guide design, and fully integrated to DWOS through the DWOS Synergy communications feature.
