NEW YORK, U.S.: As CAD/CAM technology has improved, precision crown preparation has become critical for success. In a free Dental Tribune Study Club webinar on Thursday, Nov. 1, an expert will be looking at how using a microscope for augmented visualization can enhance clinical results, from scanning to milling procedures and beyond.
During the webinar, host Dr. Alan Atlas will highlight a veneer renewal case, showing how the microscope can enable practitioners to improve clinical outcomes in all phases of restorative dentistry. Additionally, in a step-by-step format, Atlas will cover the protocols for perfect finish lines for all-ceramic crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays.
Atlas received his degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, U.S., where he now works part time as Clinical Professor of Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics and is the Director of the Endodontic-Restorative Microscopy and Technology Clinic, where he teaches students precision restorative dentistry utilizing microscopes and digital technologies. Atlas has presented to audiences right around the world and runs a full-time private practice dedicated to esthetic and comprehensive restorative dentistry.
The 2-hour webinar, titled “Precision and preservation through enhanced dental microscope visualization,” will be broadcast live on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 5 p.m. EST. Attendance is free of charge after easy registration on the website. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic.
