FRANKFURT, Germany: Formnext, a premier global showcase for additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing, is gearing up for its tenth anniversary celebration, which is scheduled to take place from 19 to 22 November at Messe Frankfurt. The organisers expect to host over 850 exhibitors and to attract more than 32,000 visitors.
Formnext 2024 is going to be an international affair, 64% of registered exhibitors hailing from abroad. Alongside Germany, significant representation comes from major exhibitor nations such as the US, China, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain.
Among the array of exhibitors confirmed for Formnext 2024 are several companies catering specifically for the dental industry. 3D Systems stands out with its offerings of 3D printers and materials suitable for a range of dental applications. Carbon, the 3D-printing technology company renowned for its Digital Light Synthesis technology, provides solutions for dental needs, including dental models, dentures and orthodontic devices. DMG Mori, while primarily focused on broader manufacturing solutions, also has expertise in the dental area. Formlabs specialises in accessible 3D printers and resins and is making waves in the dental market for its creation of dental models and surgical guides. GE Additive offers advanced manufacturing for dental implants, and HP provides Multi Jet Fusion technology printers ideal for printing aligners. Materialise has software solutions for planning and printing dental models and appliances. Nexa3D will round out the line-up with its 3D printers tailored for implant models, surgical guides and orthodontic models.
“The fantastic registration figures for Formnext reflect the relevance of additive manufacturing for the whole of the industrial sector,” said Sascha F. Wenzler, vice president for Formnext at Mesago Messe Frankfurt, which organises the event, in a press release. “Additive manufacturing is a technology that makes it possible to meet current challenges and harness new economic potential.
