NEW YORK, US: Global dental supplier Henry Schein has announced three new appointments to the company’s executive management committee. The appointees are Tom Popeck, who is CEO of Henry Schein’s Healthcare Specialties Group, and Steve Boggan and Bianka Wilson, who were recently named co-CEOs of the company’s Global Oral Reconstruction Group.
Boggan and Wilson have succeeded Dr René Willi, who served as CEO of the Global Oral Reconstruction Group and executive management committee member from 2021 to 2024. Dr Willi will begin his new roles of CEO and board member at medmix—a global leader in high-precision application systems—on 1 June 2024.
“We are delighted to welcome three strong and proven leaders to the Henry Schein executive management committee,” commented Stanley M. Bergman, chairman and CEO of the company. He added: “Steve, Bianka and Tom have each demonstrated vision and commitment in inspiring and leading our teams to excellence in a quickly changing global healthcare marketplace. Our senior leadership team will benefit greatly from the added perspectives of these seasoned professionals.”
Henry Schein’s Global Oral Reconstruction Group includes the company’s range of biomaterial products and its portfolio of premium value and value implant lines, and its Healthcare Specialties Group accounts for a range of company-owned brands that manufacture products for high-growth endodontic, orthodontic and orthopaedic markets. The two businesses are central to Henry Schein’s focus on higher-growth and higher-margin specialty products and services that complement its distribution, software and value-added businesses and also central to broadening and deepening its relationships with customers.

Boggan joined the start-up BioHorizons in 1995 and has been president and CEO of the company since 1999. He joined the Henry Schein team in 2013 when the company acquired BioHorizons. As co-CEO of the Global Oral Reconstruction Group, Boggan will lead global marketing and commercial operations in North and South America and the Middle East.
Wilson joined Henry Schein in 2018 after a successful 25-year career in finance and consulting. She formerly served as chief financial officer (CFO) at Ascom Holding, a Swiss public company in the medical communication technology industry. Prior to that, she was advisory and global account lead partner at KPMG. Wilson has been serving as CFO of the Global Oral Reconstruction Group, and as co-CEO, she will lead the group’s strategy, finance and human resources as well as its business in Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
When Popeck joined Henry Schein in 2019, he had more than 20 years of experience in sales leadership and general management, including extensive experience in the medical device industry. During that time, he led orthopaedic and industrial manufacturing businesses and held various leadership roles over an 11-year tenure at Stryker, including the roles of vice president and general manager. In 2023, Popeck was named president of Henry Schein’s Healthcare Specialties Group.
