LOS ANGELES, U.S.: SprintRay, a 3D printer manufacturer that focuses on digital dentistry, announced last week that it has commenced a partnership with the pioneering international implantology specialist Nobel Biocare. The agreement will result in Nobel Biocare becoming an authorized distributor of SprintRay’s 3D-printing technology.
Together, the two companies will aim to deliver best-in-class implant workflow solutions to patients across the world. According to the companies, the combination of Nobel Biocare’s innovative implant solutions and SprintRay’s frictionless 3D-printing technology will result in reduced implant delivery times, same-day placement of implants as well as highly accurate 3D-printed surgical templates.
“SprintRay is excited to introduce our industry-leading, end-to-end 3D-printing solution to Nobel Biocare’s extensive global network of dental professionals,” commented SprintRay’s chief growth officer, John Cox, in a press release announcing the partnership.
He added: “This partnership extends SprintRay’s reach and penetration into implant dentistry—one of the industry’s fastest-growing segments.”
According to Patrik Eriksson, president of Nobel Biocare, the company’s “philosophy of continuous innovation, driven by patient need” means that it is “proud to partner with SprintRay and to distribute their 3D-printing technology, which can drastically reduce time to teeth.”
SprintRay’s newly launched ProCure 2, a system that reduces curing times to 5 minutes, will be offered as part of the partnership between the two firms. ProCure 2 enables same-day placement of dental implants and allows for restorations performed with Nobel Biocare’s All-on-4 treatment concept to take place in one appointment.
