Time is money—which is why saving chair time seems like a great idea in every busy orthodontic office. However, the intended time-savings must not be achieved at the expense of treatment quality. The new Digital Flash-Free Indirect Bonding System developed in partnership with 3Shape can help you save time and achieve excellence in care.

The system allows you to produce an indirect bonding tray for brackets that are precoated with 3M APC Flash-Free Adhesive in five simple steps:

1. Scan the patient’s teeth with an intra-oral scanner.
2. Plan the bracket positions by choosing your preferred 3M brackets and archwire from the 3Shape Indirect Bonding software library.
3. Produce your tray in-office using a 3-D printer, for example, or order it from the laboratory.
4. Load the tray with brackets precoated with APC Flash-Free Adhesive.
5. Place the loaded transfer tray into the patient’s mouth and light-cure the brackets. There is no need for flash removal.
