World’s First Digital Denture
Global Dental Science (GDS) introduces the breakthrough AvaDent digital technology that brings the precision, speed and profitability of CAD/CAM and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) process automation to removable dentistry. Dental professionals can now offer their patients an virtually unbreakable and aesthetic denture with an exceptional fit in as little as two appointments. During the International Dental-Schau (IDS) 2015 in Cologne, a revolutionary new product will be added to the product portfolio.

One Piece Denture
AvaDent has developed the eXtreme Cross-Linked (XCL) teeth material for a denture made out of one piece. The fully milled denture out of one piece with XCL teeth is stronger than conventional dentures. Also, a material study of the University Minnesota shows that the XCL teeth have a better wear resistance then other premium conventional teeth. As the AvaDent fully milled denture is milled out of one homogenous puck, the denture is extremely bio-hygienic and reduces the unwanted denture breath. An additional benefit is the zero risk of discoloration of the tooth neck.

XCL-2
GDS will unveil the new One Piece denture at the IDS 2015 in Cologne. There will be presented two versions: XCL-1 and XCL-2. Both are dentures out of one piece while the XCL-1 has one-layer teeth in dentin color and XCL-2 is built up of a dentin and enamel layer. The teeth also have natural morphology to achieve a natural esthetic result.

Signature Teeth
GDS will also give a sneak preview of their upcoming innovation that will be rolled out later this year. It’s called “Signature Teeth”. “Every patient is uniqueand every patient should have their own natural smile and teeth. Because we are able to mill the teeth we are not limited to pre-fabricated teeth moulds. All teeth can be individually designed for each specific patient. And due to the digital backup everybody can have his natural look forever.”
