LOOP

The handle of the LOOP toothbrush, which is shaped like a loop, was specifically designed to absorb harmful pressure on the teeth and gingiva. LOOP weighs only 12 g and is thus probably the lightest toothbrush available. The LOOP brush head contains integrated carbon particles that gently polish and whiten the teeth.

The brush handle was developed by Swiss design company AIM studio, under the supervision of product designer Fabienne Meyer and megasmile founder Dr Roland Zettel, an experienced dentist and orthodontist.

“LOOP is much more than just a design object,” Zettel commented. “Very often, the pressure of the brush damages the teeth and gingiva. Patients who brush too hard risk enamel and dentinal wear, as well as permanent damage to the gingiva, resulting in hypersensitivity and teeth that are more prone to dental caries. We found a solution to this problem through a special design. The LOOP handle functions like a buffer, and the loop shape absorbs the tension. Moreover, the LOOP brush head is relatively small and user can also easily reach the back of their mouths.”
