Reconstructive Spheres

Spherical attachments are currently used in implantology by many different dentists worldwide. In order to guarantee a long duration and functionality of the spherical connection Rhein'83 developed a special kit compatible to all the attachment brands and designs. A special dimensional retentive cap, DR8, is indicated in prosthetic cases with a light USURA of the sphere. DR8 has a particular internal design with a 2.2 or 1.6 mm diameter, available in different colors and elasticity: green–standard retention, yellow– extra soft retention, orange– elastic retention. All the Rhein'83 elastic caps (available in 1.8, 2.2, 2.5 and 2.7 mm diameters) are compatible to all the spherical attachments in the market. Facing a case with a compromised spherical attachment might require a different approach. Rhein'83 research and development laboratories created a kit for concave reconstructive spheres. This innovative solution allows restoring the functionality of the ruined attachment into a new and perfectly functional one saving also the prosthesis functionality. The new attachment (following to a simple procedure) will be 100% compatible to the Rhein elastic caps. Rhein reconstructive spheres count on titanium material with a special TiN nitruration process which allows reaching 1600 Vickers hardness. Reconstructive spheres are available in three different diameters: 1.8, 2.2 and 2.5 mm diameters and used to replace the original dimensions of the ruined sphere. Rhein reconstructive spheres are placed to be glued with anaerobic cement material. Another interesting option offered by the Rhein reconstructive spheres is to transform into a functional spherical attachment different types of connections like: O-Ring system, conical pivots or other types of connections. Rhein is also offering a SOLID RECONSTRUCTIVE SPHERE which offers the opportunity to transform an old concept attachment (Era or Ceka lines) in to a functional Rhein OT CAP MICO with a 1.8 mm diameter allowing to guarantee a functional and long term performance to the attachments. Due to the TiN coating the solid sphere will never report any damages. The DR8 retentive caps, the reconstructive spheres and the solid reconstructive spheres manufactured by Rhein'83 offer a wide range of technical applications, working directly in the patient's mouth. Working times and costs are reduced reaching a permanent patient's satisfaction.
